12:07 pm So again with me being my weird self and typing on this account just to keep it active. Not going to talk about WORK... Had a small fight/yelling battle with my mother over the phone/internet yesterday... so many things get misunderstood and than all hell breaks lose. it was like watching a train wreck, i knew i couldnt say anything to make the situation better/happier so i kept my mouth shut and responded with as little as possible. These types of fights over what they are over suck. they make no sense and i really wish i hadnt had it, it affected my sleep last night and has continued to effect my mood for today. bleh. I even started of thinking about other routes of... stuff today\this morning\ last night.... i dont know what im going to do but i know i will be in japan at least until May/June. more on this later i assure you. Dreams are... fickle creatures. im not talking about the dreams people have when they are asleep (i sure as hell havent had one of those in forever...) im talking about a dream/ or rather a strong goal/hope one sets for oneself and than watches and struggles/attempts to hold onto it as long as possible.... you know its like one of those jenga towers... when you pull a block and watch it shake near the end of the game you are hoping sooo strongly that you dont let that bastard before you win so you stand up and hold your breath and attempt to place it carefully on the top position but as this happens the tower shakes and in midflights of all the blocks you attempt to catch as many as you can.... has anyone done that (do you guys even read this lj anymore... i dont ;p )? ive done that so much and i find that this type of thinking is what im doing here. Its a dream of mine to be here and to work here and to use my degree for everything it was meant to be used for... despite being away from home/friends/people i truely care for. UGH. life lesson, suck it up. but that still doesnt make me feel any better. Current Mood: crushed

07:30 am - Wednesdayness I really dont know how to follow up from the last post i did but ... in the attempt to be "normal" here i go. Work: Got back to work on tuesday and luckily it kept me busy and moving around for the most part, my appetite seems to have somewhat returned although im finding myself not eating as much as i use to.... this is disturbing purely on the grounds that i love food >_> Anywho- 9 days left of work (thats right people- single digit number!!) and 3 weeks until im in Japan. Work is going to be super crazy my last 3 days and with the boss on business out of town i think some things will slip by without being completed.... which necessarily isnt so good- however i cannot afford to come in after my leaving day simply due to the fact that i have a shit load to do before i go and only 3 ish days to do it in while not being at work. Home: Home is ok... i seem to have slipped back into my insomnia issue again... probably due to multiple reasons and thus have been very tired. mucho sorry for not being lively. Eva got a job she wanted as of yesterday so kudos for her! :D Khooshy will be home in about 2 1/2 weeks- this is a very good thing- shes been gone far too long T_T Anywho I hope everyone is doing well! <3 ya. 07:33 am - Wednesdayness Bleh. So Im still organizing stuff for the tea party and such and it seems like everything is almost good to go now! YEah! during last weekend i went into Boerne with the family and found some really cute small "texas" gifts i plan on giving my neighbors in Japan. absolutly adorable!! :D The weekend was awesome (partly because it was long- from the 4th through monday) but mainly because my sister came in from LA and we totally just played battle ship and a bunch of other games the entire time (besides shopping and going to boerne). cought up on all the older Harry potter's as well and so now i just need to go see the new one that just came out yesterday. Planning on going to the Family Values tour when it comes around here with a buddy of mine and a trip to Austin (both being sometime in August). 07:16 am - Tuesdayness UGH ok ... A. finished uploading my cds to my ipod... it seems that certain songs on my Alanis CD just wont copy.... >_> bleh. B. The travel company still has not contacted me despite her saying she would by friday.... so i emailed her this morning(7:05am)... still be as polite as possible >_> it won't turn out that way if im having to wait another week. C. I need to call the damn tea house today. D. I am bored at work because im waiting on the supervisor to make time for me and my partner in crime... this is most irritating. E. the male gender is pissing me off. F. i miss my khooshy. 09:13 am - Saturdayness Ok so as you have probably read on my Jillinjapan part- the japan thing is going crazy.... no i havent packed yet... and no i dont feel nervous or anything about it... still dont think it would hit me till i dont work in the lab anymore (aug 22nd). In other news-I found a tea place i liked but now i actually have to get into contact with the manager about setting up the place and the theme details etc etc etc. and confirm a date and time with her... also need to decide how much money im going to put down to save meh friends some money. because as it stands right now its 17.50 per person which includes "High tea" and all these sandwhiches and pastires and desserts.... technically speaking the price is one of the lower ones here... but its still 17.50... who all if willing to pay that much? i was thinking of paying half of the entire amount making the amount you guys would have to pay around 8.50... which is more decent for you but painful for my wallet... decisions-any suggestions?? i also need to determine how many people are comming- ill be sending out invitations and you guys need to rsvp so i know a number... expect to see it sometime this upcomming holiday weekend in your emails. 08:42 am - Tuesdayness Well yesterday had a few mishaps- nothing un normal for a monday... I enjoyed our free lunch and i got 2 really nice things from the boss i wasent expecting at all. For my 5 years of "service" to the lab i got this really nice plack thingie with the nick name "TBC queen" :D lol this being after he constantly never remebered the name of my gene ;p anyway i also got a gift certficate from him with.. a good amount of money on it for B&N :D it was very nice, and i think i will take a picture of the plack so you guys can see it. its really nice! Today im working on a new cohort- i have to refill some samples so i have enough to work with and than i have to run it with my partner in crime ;p the cohort is really small so we could get it done in 2 days with only 1 triplicate set a day. Thats a nice pace compared to last week we did 2 triplicates per day... that was really hectic. For last weeks information... (i think i already said this but whatever) its in the hands of the statician and both the supervisor and the boss are excited over some of the preinfo they recieved. I might have time to run the first set of triplicates today.... we'll see but i have to also set up series dilution, calibrators, and pribes which are often time consuming. so maybe tomarrow- tomarrow is my half day :D and the day im searching for tea houses- oh the joy. 08:23 am - Mondayness Ugh its been a week!! BLEH. Ok really really busy week+weekend (wont go into all of that shinnanigans)... and it looks like the rest of this week will be just as busy >_< On the upside, eva and i are hunting for teashops this wednesday (meaning i work half a day-wooo some relax time- yeah right its me workign to find a dang tea shop) anywho friday is dental appointment and today (wow im jumping around lol) is out "going away-congrats on going elsewhere" party thrown by our boss- meaning delicious indian food ;p We finished the cohort we worked so hard on last week and we got the summary tables, now its for our statician to do is math magic and for us to discuss such things. ;p come this friday i will only have 60 days left in the state. WAA :D i need to order that last piece of luggage >_>;; ohh and july 5-july 10 my favoritest sister is comming into town and i cant wait to run a muck with her ;D What else.... meh thats good enough for now. 08:21 pm - late Sunday update Ok so the rest of saturday was spent with jesca! :D we went to go sea the pirates 3 movie and than after that ate at sam's burger joint and than went to go see a few punk bands preform for only 5$- not too shabby. we left at 12am. and than on Sunday: woke up said happy fathers day to me daddy uploaded a few more songs to my ipod... im too lazy today to do the rest of them- maybe next week. i played a bit of guild wars- daddy made an awesome dinner: honey biscuits, steak, and fancy type potates (dont ask me to explain cause i have no clue what he did to them but they rocked my socks) and than some yummeh cottage cheese :D im still full from that dinner and its been over 3 hrs LOL.... anywho after dinner daddy opened his daddy day presents and that went well and than i dissappered back into my room... >_> LOL its hard to be social. anyway. OOH forgot to tell you- on saturday during my movieness i got a call on my cell from "work" >_> yeah now everyone is like "wtf! on saturday?" well i figured the only person who ever shows up on weekends like that is my supervisor ... and i figured if he was calling me he broke something- i said this much to jesca before i called back a suspicious home phone number that was left for me on my voicemail. LOW AND BEHOLD: im totally correct the supervisor broke the 180,000+ machine and wanted to service number (to which of course i dont have on me and the other person who has access to that wouldnt have it on her) so i told him to simply wait till monday and I would take care of it in the morning... thinking back, im suppose to be doing runs all this week on that machine >_> grand. this week is gonna suck. that also makes it twice durng my weekend they called me. im surprised they didnt call on sunday... though they did break the machine so it be hard for them to do anything else. 12:38 pm - quickie saturday afternoon update OK so friday was dad's bday- we went to see the rise of the silver surfer in the theater- he loved it of course cause its his all time fav comic book and the movie could have totally blowed and he would still love it. To be honest- it wasent too bad- in fact it was better than the first one. I also got to see a friend of mine that i hadent seen in forever at the theaters so it was nice to play catchup a bit. After that we came home and i got a call from the lab talking abot doing this other cohort that day instead of fucking waiting until monday so they needed all my passwords and shit.... >_> fucking a. anyway so at 6pm i went to india palace and had dinner with some of the girls for Erika bday celebration, got to see kandi who i havent seen in forever and joked around a lot. than came back home had cake for dad's bday and watched him open presents. he enjoyed his day. Than this morning i got rudly woken up by my father because the fucking siding people had suddenly showed up to do the places they MISSED without notice... >_> and he didnt want me in bed while they were near my window (aww how sweet LOL) needless to say i was pissed cause it was early in the morning- i walked into my parents room and slept in their bed :P HHAHHA. oh god. anyway they were here for about 1 1/2hrs and left so i went back into my room... I cleaned it up a bit more and realized i could cross some stuff off my todo list. also i called Jesca up cause shes going out the Sam's burger joint with me, but before that we are going to go watch pirates 3 again ;D ahhahahha!! :D so the rest of my night starting at 3pm will be busy- currently is 12:44pm. Sunday is fathers day and i already have the presents wrapped- cause im awesome like that- we've had his gifts for these a month in advance. whhahaha. anywho i also wrapped their anniv. presents for this thursday. ive been very productive this weekend. The one thing i wont get done this weekend- but hope to do next weekend is the tea places... i just couldnt fit it in and i had transportation issues. its fine, itll be dealt with next weekend- hopefully ;p Anywhos, that wasent sucha quickie update... 07:12 am - Thursdayness OMG thank god its my friday!!!! i couldnt handle another day of torment from a particular student in the lab who just drives me FUCKING BATTY. i purposely hid in other peoples rooms to avoid this particular person just because every 3/5 min that person asks me the same questions over and over again and the answers are right in front of that person- all they have to do is read and pay attention.... >_> OMFG. I wanted to pull my hair out. The vast majority of the lab students are actually doing really well. June is sooo freaking busy for me. July is also... so: June 15- daddy bday, june 16th seeing a few bands at sam's burger joint, june 17- fathers day, june 20th is fallout boy concert, june 21 parents anniversary, june 23 possibly going to go see another concert..., june 24 is a wedding shower, june 28th is adri's last day in the lab, and sometime during that last week im hanging out with cathy and jesca before cathy leaves for military purposes again. THAN, July 28 is sharalyns wedding.... i think theres more in july but at the moment i really cant remeber. point being is im uber fucking busy with events and i still need to somehow find time to search for those tea places. UGH. And than my project got put on hold again only a few days after i JUST got the ok to go ahead with it >_> FUCKING HELL! what is the worry this time. Horoscope:"It's time to try something new. 07:31 am - Wednesdayness Yesterday was uber busy at work but i got a lot done, and it actually went decently well. so no complaints about that. Today seems like it will only be busy maybe in the morning if im lucky... this afternoon-evening not so much. but we'll see, i might be wrong on this. Not a whole lot to report really.... they finished putting up the majority of the siding on my parents house and i must say its looking good... they need to put up some underside stuff still and the shutters that will be added- first they have to paint though. I cant wait to see the painted version. Seriously, the house looks 10 times better, after 20 years it needed some updateing/fixing.
